The first look photos from Stranger Things season five are here, courtesy of Netflix!
At the live Tudum event over the weekend, Netflix shared a compilation video from the past seasons, which revealed the show’s 2025 release dates. Season five, volume one will debut on November 26th, volume two will premiere on Christmas day, and the series finale is set to drop on New Year’s Eve.
Here’s the official final season synopsis: The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.
One image, which can be seen on the left of the main image here, is especially interesting. Fans are theorizing that the image features Will in the Upside Down, and perhaps he’s already dead in that world…while still being alive in Hawkins’ current timeline.
By the way, see which actor from Stranger Things was not asked back for season 5.
