Lady Gaga is refusing to put starting a family with reported fiancée Michael Polansky on the back burner despite gearing up for a huge world tour later this year, as a source exclusively tells Life & Style she’s confident that with proper planning she can pull it off.
“Even on a good day, and even if you’ve known her for years, it’s hard to understand what Gaga is really thinking or if there is some kind of hidden agenda going on behind these big, bold statements she sometimes makes,” says a close friend of the ambitious singer-actress, “but when it comes to starting a family, she is not being mysterious at all.”
Back in March, the “Bad Romance” singer, 39, revealed fan reaction to her latest set of performances and huge demand for more tour dates encouraged her and her team to plan a new world tour in just “a few weeks.” She took to social media to announce the good news, which had plenty of fans around the world overjoyed they would get the chance to see her in concert, especially after her record-breaking performance in Brazil drew an estimated 2.5 million people.
“I wasn’t planning to tour this year after my shows in Singapore but the incredible response to the new album inspired me to keep things going. It came together super quickly thanks to Arthur Fogel and the amazing team at Live Nation, who planned a global tour in just a few weeks,” she wrote on Instagram. “We chose arenas this time to give me the opportunity to control the details of the show in a way you simply can’t in stadiums — and honestly, I can’t wait. This show is designed to be the kind of theatrical and electrifying experience that brings MAYHEM to life exactly how I envision it. The MAYHEM Ball Tour is officially coming your way. See you soon, monsters.”
The source notes that with the snap decision to go back out on the road so soon, “she’s been up to her eyeballs in tour planning and arranging her live show.” But that doesn’t mean she’s pushing back everything else in her life.
The American Horror Story alum has been open in the past about looking forward to becoming a mom “in the not-too-distant” future, telling Elle in January her ideal life consists of “me and Michael and our kids.” She’s even given thought to how she’d like to parent, deciding on a more laissez-faire approach. “It’s such an intense thing for kids coming into the world. And they’re told how to think and what to believe in and how to eat … I just want to let my kids find out who they are,” the hitmaker added.
In an interview last year with Buzzfeed Canada, the New York University grad announced she was “so happy to be in love,” and definitely has babies on her mind. “I’m so excited to have a family, so that’s definitely number one.”
The source adds it’s pretty easy to see how eager the superstar is to have kids. “When somebody brings a baby around, Gaga will stop everything to fawn over the child and rattle off her own intentions to start a family sooner rather than later.”
Reps for Lady Gaga did not respond to Life & Style‘s request for comment.
