Two years after first getting together, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are still very much in their honeymoon phase and can’t seem to keep their hands off each other, as a source exclusively tells Life & Style their friends and colleagues are warming up to their incessantly lovey-dovey behavior.
“They’re so comfortable together, they just fit,” the insider says. “He is truly her biggest supporter.”
Selena, 32, confirmed the romance in December 2023 after months of fan speculation, calling music producer Benny “the best thing that’s ever happened” to her via Instagram. “He is my absolute everything in my heart,” she added. “Why has he been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. He’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with.”
The source confirms the 37-year-old musician, who has known and collaborated with Selena for years before they were linked romantically, is a welcome addition to the former Disney star’s life. “He seems to thrive on seeing her happy.”
Benny is quite fond of returning the favor via sweet gestures, as Life & Style previously broke down. For Valentine’s Day in 2024 he had his favorite brand of pickle shipped from Texas, where they’re exclusively sold, to California so he could make Selena homemade fried pickles — his own recipe. That seemed to work, so Benny continued trying to impress her with his cooking skills. “I woke up early this morning and I was like, ‘I want to do something nice for my girlfriend.’ I was thinking, whenever I want to put a smile on her face or get laid, I just make her steak,” he posted to Instagram. They also celebrated their next Valentine’s Day with nacho cheese and chips.
More adorable and less food-centric was Benny inviting Selena to prom. The Wizards of Waverly Place alum had missed out on her own prom, which would’ve taken place around 2012. In April 2025, the music mogul filmed himself done up in a tuxedo picking up his date in a stretch limo. They drove around Los Angeles and took some classic, textured blue-backdropped high school photos to close out the very sweet date.
“The chemistry between them is very hot,” the source continues. “It’s obvious they’re enjoying fireworks in the bedroom. People are happy for Selena. It’s no secret she’s had some bad luck with her love life, so for her to finally meet a guy that adores her and is solid that she’s wildly attracted to feels well-deserved.”
Nowadays, the insider notes “she and Benny are pretty much joined at the hip,” as they plan for a star-studded wedding.
“They do everything together and even when she has a job on her own he often comes as her moral support. He’s a great addition to her life to the point people in the Hollywood bubble have started saying they’re the it couple,” the insider says.
“They’re so cute together, they have this playful vibe that is very enviable. Everyone is buzzing about the wedding and who will make the guest list. There are going to be a number of big names there, that’s guaranteed.”
