In an excellent holiday weekend for the box office, Lilo and Stitch ruled with $145.5 million through Sunday, and is estimated to make $183 million total through the holiday weekend. Meanwhile, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, earned a series-best $63 million over the weekend, and will likely top out at $77 million by Monday night.
Third place at the box office belonged to Final Destination Bloodlines, which earned $19 million over the weekend, and an estimated $24.5 million through Monday. In fourth place, Thunderbolts brought in $9.5 million over the weekend, and an estimated $12 million through Monday.
Meanwhile, Sinners is still in the top five, with $9.1 million over the weekend and an estimated $11.2 million through Monday.
These totals brought the collective Memorial Day weekend haul to $322 million across all films, a Memorial Day weekend record. Let’s celebrate that!
