Popular content creator and social media personality Alix Earle is joining Dancing With the Stars season 34. She was the second celebrity contestant announced, following the late Steve Irwin’s son, Robert Irwin.

Alix, 24, first rose to fame on TikTok with her “Get Ready With Me” videos and throughout the years has amassed a whopping 7.5 million followers on social media. Fans flock to her page for beauty, styling and lifestyle tips.

Good Morning America announced the news on Thursday, May 22, and Alix couldn’t hide her excitement about the upcoming opportunity. She said when she was asked to compete on Dancing With the Stars, it was an “easy yes.”

“I hope that the Earle Girls will come out and support me. I hope so, and yeah, I’m excited to be able to vlog it all as well, and that’s the fun thing about what I do on social media is keeping up with everything I do in real time,” Alix replied when she was asked if she thought her large social media following would give her an edge. “So, being able to share that and the behind-the scenes process, because I know as someone who was glued to the TV last year with Dancing With the Stars and on social media, I’m like, ‘Give me the drama. What’s the tea? Who’s dating?’ I want to know, so I’m excited to see it in real life and be able to share it.”

The model also told Good Morning America host Michael Strahan that she would “give him the inside scoop.”

Lara Spencer asked if Alix planned on filming her usual “Get Ready With Me” videos while competing on Dancing With the Stars, and the TikTok star promised that she would and added that it was actually one of the things she was most excited about.

“I was just learning about how they custom-tailor all the outfits to you. I mean, the costumes on that show, the glam – it’s a whole other world. I’m so excited for it. If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I love dressing up. Halloween’s my favorite. So, I’m going to take an opportunity to go above and beyond every week,” Alix said with a smile.

Alix danced competitively in high school and the New Jersey native said that she hoped her past experience would give her an edge.

“I danced when I was little and up until my sophomore year of high school,” she explained. “It wasn’t like I was that great or anything, but at least you know I know an eight-count and dance. I would like to say I have some rhythm. Maybe? Possibly? But I’ve never done ballroom dancing or danced with a partner before, so that’s going to be a whole new adventure for me, and I might have lost a little bit of my flexibility and skills over the years. So, I’m excited to, you know, get back in there and get training.”

Fans will have to wait and see which other celebrities will be competing for the mirrorball trophy as the announcements continue. Dancing With the Stars season 34 will premiere in the fall.
