American Idol has crowned a new winner!
On Sunday night (May 18), the season 23 finale of the hit ABC singing competition aired and by the end of the episode, the winner was announced.
Going into the finale were the Top 3 – John Foster, Breanna Nix, and Jamal Roberts – who all took to the stage again for their final performances of the season.
During the episode, singers including Jelly Roll, Pattie LaBelle, Goo Goo Dolls, and Jessica Simpson all performed with this season’s Top 14 contestants.
At the end of the three-hour finale after all of America’s votes were counted, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest announced the new winner!
