Rihanna is pregnant with her third child! The singer revealed her baby bump at the 2025 Met Gala on Monday, May 5. She was featured in photos snapped by photographer Miles Diggs, which were shared on Instagram during the event.
The Fenty Beauty entrepreneur is already a mom to sons RZA Athelston Mayers and Riot Rose Mayers, whom she shares with boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
Rihanna, 37, wore a gray outfit in the photos shared on Instagram, showing off her pregnant belly during fashion’s biggest night. The photos were posted before she hit the red carpet. A$AP, 36, who is one of the Met Gala’s cochairs this year, wore a black structured suit as he walked the red carpet without his partner. He carried a black umbrella with him, smiling from ear to ear.
She later showed off her baby bump when she made her grand entrance at the Met Gala just hours after she announced her pregnancy. Rihanna stunned in a dress that appeared to look like a suit, which featured a lapel front, a red tie with white polka dots and a bustle in the back.
Rihanna was previously asked about whether or not she planned to expand her family again during an August 2024 chat with Interview Magazine.
“How many more kids do you want?” she was asked.
“As many as god wants me to have,” Rihanna responded.
“I don’t know what god wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course if it’s another boy, it’s another boy,” she replied.

The music superstar dished on what it was like giving birth to RZA, now 3, in May 2022.
“Essentially, from one person I became two. You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s nuts,” she told British Vogue in February 2023. “And oh, my gosh, those first days are insane. You don’t sleep. At all. Not even if you wanted to. We came home, cold turkey, had no one. It was just us as parents and our baby. Man, you’re a zombie for the most part.”
“You’re just going through the motions, and even then you’re so paranoid. Because you’re like: they trusted us to come home with this baby? This new life? With us?” she added of the birth experience. “No doctors, no nurses, we’re just … going home?”
Rihanna reflected on how much her life changed since becoming a mom.
“It changed a lot, but you’re just at the same constant. You’re of service. Literally that is it. You are joyful when you get the time to shower. You know,” the mom of two said. “I remember in the beginning I used to roll his bassinet into the bathroom and be showering and like wiping the fog off [the glass] just to peep at him.”
She said that waking up in the morning and seeing her son’s face was her most favorite part of the day.
“Those were always my favorite, his little wake-up face, seeing his face change, seeing his color come in, just all of these changes.”
Rihanna gave birth to Riot, 20 months, in August 2023. In September 2024, she shared another rare insight into motherhood, saying that “being a boy mom is an Olympic sport.”
“It makes me feel really cool to be a boy mom,” she also told E! News in April 2024. “I get to be as casual and busted as I want to, but it also forces me to embrace the epic things about being a woman and female and all my femininity — I embrace it so much more now.”
