Running influencer Kate Mackz has faced intense backlash for her new video with Trump‘s press secretary Karoline Leavitt and now Tim Walz‘s daughter Hope Walz is slamming her too.
Kate is known for her videos where she interviews famous people while jogging, with recent videos including Patrick Schwarzenegger and Julianne Hough. Back in October, she released a video with Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz just weeks before the election.
This week, Kate dropped a video that she filmed at the White House with Karoline and there’s no running involved in the video at all.
Kate‘s fans have been disappointed at her for giving a platform to the Trump administration to normalize the way they’re running the country. All the while, Kate has still kept her Tim Walz video as her top-pinned video.
Hope slammed her for this.

“Running as an act is political,” Hope said in a video on her account. “And you know who taught me that? Tim Walz. The first thing he told me when I was first getting into it in high school was that running is a privilege. Whether you do it recreationally, race competitively, or participate at an elite level, it is a privilege. You need time. You need the right gear. You need a healthy mental state. You need a safe, stable environment. And not everyone has that.”
Hope also brought up the policies that the Trump administration has been pushing, including reducing mental health support and cutting climate change funding. “All of those things are preventing people from getting into the running community, which is what I thought Kate’s platform was for,” she said.
She added, “We should not be normalizing these people. I’m not going to tell anyone what to do with their page, but I think it is insulting to my dad to leave a certain video pinned, especially when he stands for quite literally the opposite of what this administration is doing. You do not get to both-sides this. It is not both sides. We are quite literally talking about good versus evil here.”
