The Emily in Paris cast is helping Camille Razat go out in style after her shocking departure from the show.

Razat, 31, took to Instagram on Wednesday, April 23, to share a goodbye message, writing, “After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris. It has been a truly wonderful experience, one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories.”

She continued: “This character has meant a lot to me, and I feel that her storyline has naturally come to an end. It felt like the right moment to explore new horizons.”

In the comments section, Razat received an outpouring of support. “Love you sister,” costar Lily Collins replied. “It’s been a wild ride and an absolute pleasure. You’re a rockstar. So proud of you.”

Lucas Bravo called Razat “my sister,” while Bruno Gouery added, “We’ll miss you.” Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu also shared a sweet response, writing, “You’ll be so missed ma chérie.”

Ashley Park noted that she is “always proud” of Razat, with Lucien Laviscount writing a lengthy heartfelt message.

“From day one you’ve been my rider on this show,” he shared. “Your passion for story telling, your dark sense of humour, your unwavering ability to stay true to yourself, when everything’s pushing you in a different direction. You’re special Camille and I feel absolutely honoured to [have] been able to dance with you these past seasons. Keep on shining. I’m going to miss laughing with you. I’m cheering you on in everything you do.”

Razat originally addressed her Emily in Paris exit in a statement to TVLine on Wednesday, noting, “After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris. It has been a truly wonderful experience — one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories.”

The actress, who played Camille for four seasons, didn’t rule out the possibility of making a return.

“I’m deeply grateful to Darren Star and the entire team at Netflix and Paramount for their trust and for giving me the opportunity to bring Camille to life and leaving the door open for her return, as she will always be a part of Emily in Paris world,” she added.

News broke earlier this month that Razat was stepping back from Emily in Paris, which debuted in 2020. The Netflix series centers around Emily Cooper (Collins) and her often hilarious attempts to find her footing in France after moving from the U.S. for a new job. Emily subsequently ends up caught in a love triangle between Gabriel (Bravo) and Alfie (Laviscount).

Razat played Gabriel’s love interest as the fictional couple’s complicated romance fell apart on screen. When fans last saw Camille, she found out she wasn’t actually pregnant with Gabriel’s baby. Camille remained committed to motherhood despite Gabriel’s lack of interest in adopting a child.

After the season 4 finale, creator Darren Star teased where Camille’s story was going, telling TVLine in September 2024, “Characters can come in and out of a series, but you don’t necessarily have to see them. We may or may not. I don’t know how much of Camille we’ll see next season. But again, she’s part of the world of the series. I’m not sure how soon we’ll see her, but it doesn’t mean, again, that we won’t be seeing her.”
