Did you see Jennifer Aniston’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in The Last of Us? She sure did.
“Of all things to survive the apocalypse,” Aniston, 56, quipped in an Instagram Story post shared on Tuesday, April 22, alongside a screenshot from the show featuring Bella Ramsey as Ellie and her friend Pedro Pascal as Joel.
The Last of Us season 2 premiere, which aired on April 13, featured Ellie flipping through a People magazine from 2003 with Aniston on the cover. “Jennifer’s sexy nights,” the coverline reads alongside a headline teasing the “Best & Worst Dressed.”
Ellie flips through the magazine during the episode before an Infected attack — naturally.
Aniston’s social media post comes nearly one month after she was photographed out to dinner with Pascal and friends in West Hollywood on March 22.
Pascal, 50, gushed over their friendship in an interview days later.

“I would do anything for Jennifer,” he told Extra at a The Last of Us season 2 screening on March 25, when asked about a possible cameo in her AppleTV+ series The Morning Show.
“She is that person [who is good in a crisis],” Pascal added. “The best way that I could describe it is I remember, if you’re in a party setting and you make eye contact with Jen, she just knows exactly what’s going on with you and knows exactly how to make you feel.”
The actor joked that if “you’re really high at a party” and in danger of freaking out, Aniston will be there to help calm you down.
“Make eye contact with Jen Aniston and she’ll calm your central nervous system,” he continued. “You’ll be like, ‘Oh no, everything’s fine. I’m safe.’”
This was not the first time that Pascal possibly appearing on The Morning Show has come up in an interview. During the Critics Choice Awards red carpet in January 2023, Pascal crashed Aniston’s interview alongside her The Morning Show costar Reese Witherspoon.
“He’s got the chicest arm sling I’ve ever seen,” Aniston said at the time, referring to Pascal’s injured arm. “It’s the softest thing I’ve ever felt.”
Pascal noted that he didn’t want to talk about himself, but would rather discuss his friend’s hit Apple TV+ series.
“I just want to stand next to it, I want to be near it, that’s it,” he said of the series before Witherspoon chimed in.
“We actually do have a really good part for him,” she said, and Aniston gasped.
“Alright, pitch it to me now,” Pascal said, before joking that his character would “sleep with everyone on the show.”
