Variety reports that Kaitlyn will be allowed to submit in either the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series or the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series categories for her work as Abby.
Actors who submit for the “guest” acting categories must appear in less than half of the season and Variety reported that “Dever qualifies for the guest actress in a drama series category, as she appears in fewer than 50% of the season’s eligible episodes.”
We don’t actually know what will happen to Kaitlyn‘s character, but she seemingly will only appear in one more episode this season.
There are seven episodes in season two and Kaitlyn can only appear in three episodes to qualify for the guest actress category.
Kaitlyn revealed how she was impacted by filming that Abby-Joel scene just three days after her own mother’s funeral.
