Jessica Alba and estranged husband Cash Warren reunited to celebrate Easter as a family with their kids, two months after filing for divorce. The former L.A.’s Finest actress shared photos via Instagram of their holiday celebration on Sunday, April 20, which included a sweet family moment.
In one picture, the proud parents smiled next to their daughters, Honor Warren, 16, and Haven Warren, 12, and their son, Hayes Warren, 7. The brood enjoyed their time together in the sunshine as they watched the kids search for goodies during an Easter egg hunt and chowed down on lavish finger food, including crab legs and sushi rolls. Hayes headed into the animal pit and embraced baby sheep before enjoying chocolate treats.
Fans loved seeing Jessica, 43, and Cash, 46, come together to continue family traditions for the kids and left sweet messages in the comments section of the post.
“I’m happy to see them back together for the holiday at least. It’s important for the children,” one fan wrote.
Jessica and Cash filed for divorce on February 7 after quietly separating two months prior. News of their split surfaced in January, leading Jessica to break her silence on their decision.
“I’ve been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” she wrote in a January 16 Instagram statement. “I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.”
The Honey actress concluded, “We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family. Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time.”
Shortly after, a few sources exclusively revealed to Life & Style that Jessica and Cash were trying their best to make sure their kids wouldn’t struggle from their divorce.
“Jessica has been very candid about things not being perfect between them,” an insider told Life & Style in a story published on February 3. “Not that long ago she admitted they were more like roommates and had put their marriage on the backburner because of work and their kids.”
Meanwhile, a second insider told Life & Style that “they’re both determined to keep everything extremely amicable for the kids” and “turned to the experts to help them navigate this with as much honesty and open communication as possible.”
“They are checking in with them constantly and mourning the loss of ‘the way things were’ alongside them, but also painting a picture of a very bright future where they are all still totally connected as a family,” source No. 2 shared.
As for looking for love again, Jessica is “ready to have some fun” now that she’s back on the market. She raised eyebrows with comedian Alex Edelman after they left the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty in high spirits together in March, but neither of them addressed the dating rumors.
“No doubt plenty of high-profile men will use the classic Hollywood way and have their managers reach out to her team and go that route, and she will be open to that,” a third source dished to Life & Style. “She’s not ruling out dating a regular guy, but she’s taking her friends’ advice and plans to try dating someone at her level of celebrity. They’re all telling her that it will be a better power balance and rule out some of the issues she had with Cash.”
