Jennifer Lopez couldn’t spend Easter Sunday with her kids, Max Muñiz and Emme Muñiz, due to work, but she found a way to connect with them from a distance on the holiday.
The “Jenny From the Block” singer, 55, took to Instagram with a rare photo of her twins, 17, on a FaceTime call with their mom on Sunday, April 20. The screenshot showed Max and Emme calling in from two separate devices as they both smiled at their cameras. Meanwhile, J. Lo could be seen in the corner, calling in from her own phone and smiling in a full face of makeup and a cream-colored turtleneck as she snapped the selfie with her kiddos.
In addition to the FaceTime screenshot, J. Lo shared photos of her whimsical Easter getup — a purple floral sweater with a plastic “Happy Easter” necklace, a pink bow-shaped headband and a bunny-shaped bag with her name on it — and a quote about the holiday.
“The greatest gift of Easter is hope,” the quote, first said by late Catholic archbishop Basil Hume, read.
In her caption, J. Lo wrote, “Grateful for FaceTime on days like today. Happy Easter from this working mama on the move!”
The holiday celebration came almost exactly two months after the Atlas star celebrated her teens’ 17th birthdays with a compilation video showcasing moments from their lives on February 22.
“Seventeen. I love you beyond forever,” she wrote in the caption with a coconut emoji, referencing the sweet “coconuts” nickname she’s given Max and Emme through the years.
J. Lo shares the twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, whom she was married to from 2004 to 2014. The “Rain on Me” singer, 56, made a rare comment about his kids in March.
“If you learned anything after all these years, is whatever they want, whatever they say,” Marc — who welcomed his seventh child, son Marco, with wife Nadia Ferreira, in June 2023 — told E! News. “No, they’re wonderful. I have a wonderful family, a wonderful wife — Marquito is a year and a half. I’m just enjoying this stage of my life.”
Marc also shares daughter Arianna, 31, and son Chase, 28, with ex-girlfriend Debbie Rosado and sons Cristian, 24, and Ryan, 21, with ex-wife Dayanara Torres.
While Max has typically kept a low profile through the years, Emme is more accustomed to the spotlight and has appeared alongside their mother at public events in recent months. On April 3, the pair supported George Clooney in his Broadway debut at the premiere of Good Night, and Good Luck in New York City, posing for photos ahead of the show in coordinating outfits. J. Lo sported a gorgeous black velvet plunging gown, while Emme looked dapper in a black suit.
Days prior, on March 23, the mother-child duo attended the opening of Othello on Broadway together.
Emme has also publicly shown off their singing voice by performing alongside J. Lo at the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show, later admitting that the experience was “scary” and “really nice.”
“When I get older, I don’t want to be a singer. It’s not something that I would like to do as a profession,” they added. “But maybe one of my hobbies could be singing.”
