Get ready for the return of Anakin Skywalker!
During the Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo, Japan, Hayden Christensen announced that he will be reprising the fan-favorite role in the upcoming second season of Ahsoka on Disney+.
Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni, executive producer Jon Favreau, and star Rosario Dawson took to the main stage for a panel to discuss the series, revealing that production for season two begins next week.

Towards the end of the panel, he confirmed that he’ll be back for the new season.
“There’s not much I can share, but Anakin will be back for season two,” Hayden shared as the audience cheered.
Hayden famously played Anakin, who later becomes Darth Vader, in 2002’s Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and 2005’s Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. He made his return to the Star Wars universe by reprising Anakin and Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which was released in 2022. He then appeared, in digitally de-aged form, in the first two episodes of season one of Ahsoka, which was released in 2023.
In the show, Anakin is Ahsoka’s Jedi Master.
As of right now, Disney+ hasn’t revealed the release date for season two of Ahsoka.
