Summer House star Paige DeSorbo opened up about the anxiety she felt in her relationship with ex-boyfriend Craig Conover before their split.
After fans watched Paige, 32, express concerns about not feeling supported by Craig, 36, as she prepared for her “Giggly Squad” podcast tour, she had an honest conversation about potentially wanting out of the relationship while talking to costar Ciara Miller during the Wednesday, April 16, episode.
“I’ve said to him so many times, ‘If this is not what you want…’” Paige told Ciara, 29, who responded, “But you’re putting it on him. Because it’s so much easier to give the other person the out than to really dig deep and determine if that’s what you want.”
Paige – who appeared defeated – replied, “I just want to run away and change my name.”
“I feel guilty that I’m not more happy,” she continued about her relationship. “I’m like, ‘I wished for everything I have.’ I’ve literally manifested the apartment I live in, manifested having a boyfriend who’s obsessed with me, I love my career. So, then, why am I the most anxious I’ve ever been in my entire life when I have everything I want?”
After Paige and Ciara had the tough conversation, the podcast host woke up the next day still feeling bothered about the state of her relationship.
“I just get overwhelmed,” she tearfully told Ciara. “I haven’t had a day off. I just feel like I’m spreading myself so thin. I feel like Craig is going to freak out on me. I’m just nervous Craig’s gonna be like, ‘You’re such a f–king bitch.’ I’m just so f–king anxious.”
The conversation concluded with Paige admitting that she felt she was being forced to choose between her relationship and professional career.
“I get that his feelings are valid too,” she said. “He can be like, ‘You’re so busy, what about me?’ But also, sometimes I feel like he dumbs down how busy I am or I’m being a bad person if my relationship isn’t the number one thing in my life or that I’m not putting it first.”
Paige continued, “I always feel like I’m doing the wrong thing. I get nervous that me and Craig are gonna break up and it’s going to be like, ‘He’s so much better off without her. She deserves what she gets.’”
“I get nervous that everything I have will go away,” Paige admitted through tears.
While fans are currently watching Paige and Craig’s relationship crumble on Summer House season 9, she confirmed that they split after three years of dating during a December 2024 episode of her “Giggly Squad” podcast.
“Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,” she said at the time. “I love him, I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”
