Donna Kelce seemingly reacted to a comment about her son Travis Kelce making a “wonderful father” amid his romance with Taylor Swift.
The Kelce matriarch, 72, took to Facebook on April 4 to share a video of Travis, 35, meeting his newest niece, Finn, during an episode of his and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.
“The sweetest!!!” Donna wrote alongside the clip.
Several fans rushed to the comments section to gush about the sweet moment, while one person commented, “Trav’s going to make a wonderful father, just like Jason!”
Donna quickly sent Swifties into a frenzy when she seemingly dropped a “heart” to the comment, according to Hello! and the Daily Mail. However, her reported reaction to the comment is no longer visible on the post as of time of publication.
Taylor, 35, and Travis have been dating since the summer of 2023. The “Enchanted” singer has spent plenty of time with her boyfriend’s family, and she had gotten to know Donna well while attending Kansas City Chiefs games.
While Donna has made sure to keep details of Taylor and Travis’ romance out of the spotlight, she has hinted that her son has been happy ever since they started dating. In fact, she revealed in September 2024 that he has embraced being in the spotlight.
“He’s always been one to be in the limelight. He loves attention,” she told Extra. “He loves attention. I mean it, he’s always dancing, always joking around, always having fun … he just loves life. He has a zest for life and he’s one of those individuals that wants to make sure everybody’s laughing and having a good time.”
After noting that Travis “just wants a smile out of people,” Donna added, “It just seems like his life is on a trajectory that just is rising every single day and every time I turn around I’m seeing him doing something different, whether it’s on the golf course or at a concert or whatever, he’s just having his best life right now.”
When it comes to their plans for the future, neither Taylor nor Travis have publicly spoken about if they plan to get married or have kids together. However, a source exclusively told Life & Style that they were “so happy” for Jason, 37, and his wife, Kylie Kelce, after they welcomed baby No. 4 in March.
Meanwhile, an additional insider revealed that Travis would like to start a family with Taylor sooner rather than later. The source said that his “fatherly instincts kick in whenever he spends time” with his nieces, which has led many people to believe that he “is going to be an amazing dad.”
“Travis is eager to speed up their relationship timeline,” the insider revealed at the time. “He wants to marry Taylor right away and start a family as soon as she’s ready. Travis has been so broody that he’s told Taylor he’s open to having kids before a wedding!”
The source went on to claim that Taylor “knows starting a family is huge for Travis” and the desire is “one of the things she loves about him.”
