• Jon Hamm returns to host SNL after a lengthy absence tonight!
• Hamm first hosted in October 2008 fresh off the sensation of early Mad Men, while the show itself was also riding a 2008 election high. Hamm fit right in. He returned to host in January 2010 and October 2010, one of the rare times when a host returns to the show twice in a calendar year.
• He hasn’t hosted since 2010, though he’s made an appearance nearly every year after the fact. He was most recently in the “Alien Invasion” sketch at SNL50.
• Lizzo is also returning to the show. She pulled double duty in April 2022 and came back in December as the musical guest for the Austin Butler episode.
