The Librarians: The Next Chapter will follow Vikram Chamberlain, a Librarian who travels from the past to the present day and finds himself stuck. He attempts to return to his castle, only to find it has been turned into a museum where he accidentally unleashes magical forces. To contain the outbreak and find his way back home, the Librarian will have to assemble a new team of Librarians.
The show stars Callum McGowan as Vikram Chamberlain (a Librarian from 1847), Jessica Green as Charlie Cornwall (a martial artist who was a Guardian candidate), Olivia Morris as Lysa Pascal (the Scientist), Bluey Robinson as Connor Green (the Historian who is a parkour expert), and Caroline Loncq as Elaine Astalot (the Caretaker who was a resident of Camelot in the days of King Arthur). Christian Kane reprises his role from the 2014 series as Jacob Stone, who the Library has asked to serve as a mentor to Charlie. He is billed as a guest star.
The show will premiere on TNT on May 25. The network has already ordered two seasons with 12 episodes each.
