Lainey Wilson was growing tired of waiting. While filming a video for CMT in late December, the country music star, 32, joked that she might have to propose to her boyfriend, Devlin “Duck” Hodges. Less than two months later, the former NFL player, 28, got down on one knee.
“It was perfectly planned,” a source says of the proposal, which took place at the Tennessee home of the late country icon George Jones. “She was impressed.”
While Lainey and Duck haven’t set a date yet, Life & Style has exclusively learned that the couple are looking to tie the knot in late summer or early fall of this year. “They’ve been together for four years and can’t wait to make it official,” shares a source. Expect a ceremony full of Southern charm and tradition.

“Lainey and Duck want an old-fashioned church wedding, with flowers everywhere,” the source says. “They’d like to have an outdoor reception and plan to invite all of their family and friends,” including Lainey’s Yellowstone costars.
“Those two are sparing no expense,” admits the source. “They’re going all out to have the wedding of their dreams.”
