Blondie drummer Clem Burke has passed away at age 70 after a private battle with cancer, the band has announced in social media posts that paid tribute to “our beloved friend and bandmate.” He appeared on all of Blondie’s albums and was the only drummer through the band’s entire career.
“Clem was not just a drummer; he was the heartbeat of Blondie. His talent, energy, and passion for music were unmatched, and his contributions to our sound and success are immeasurable.”
