Billy Crudup and Claire Danes were a couple many years ago and it looks like all is well between them, nearly two decades later.
The actors were both in attendance at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts Gala on Monday (April 7) at Cipriani South Street in New York City.
Claire was there to honor Winnie Holzman, the creator of her breakout show My So-Called Life. Check out red carpet pics in the gallery!
For those who don’t know, Claire and Billy dated from 2003 to 2007. Their relationship was controversial at the time as Billy left his then-girlfriend Mary Louise Parker while she was seven months pregnant with their son William. (The photo of them together here was taken in 2006)
People shared a video of Billy approaching Claire at her table at the event to say a friendly hug and hello.
Claire commented on the controversy while appearing on The Howard Stern Show in 2015.
“I just was in love with him and needed to explore that and was 24. Didn’t quite know what those consequences might be,” she said at the time. “It’s okay. I went through it.”
