Billie Jean King continues to make history, even in her 80s!
The tennis legend, who is now 81, was just honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during an unveiling ceremony on Monday (April 7) in Los Angeles.
Billie is the first woman to be honored in the Sports Entertainment category, which was created in 2023.
“Sports are entertainment, and as athletes, we love performing in front of an audience,” Billie said at her ceremony.
Billie was supported by Jamie Lee Curtis, Flavor Flav, sports stars Magic Johnson and Maria Sharapova, and her wife Ilana Kloss.
Jamie Lee wrote on Instagram, “The honor of a lifetime. I have admired @billiejeanking for so many things, her skill ON the court, but mostly her profound accomplishments OFF the court as an advocate and leader in the fight for equality and inclusion and love, and it was thrilling to be one of the speakers todayalong with Magic @magicjohnson and her wife @cooksandking here in my City of Angels honoring Billie Jean on the Hollywood walk of fame.”
