George Clooney made his Broadway debut this week in Good Night, and Good Luck, which was adapted from the 2005 film that Clooney wrote and directed. As in the movie, Clooney stars as journalist Edward R. Murrow. The play also stars Ilana Glazer (Broad City), Glenn Fleshler (Billions), Clark Gregg (Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD), Carter Hudson (Snowfall), Paul Gross (Due South), Christopher Denham (Billions), Fran Kranz (Dollhouse), and Mac Brandt (Kingdom).
Three of Clooney’s former ER costars (Anthony Edwards, Noah Wyle, and Julianna Margulies) attended opening night and had a mini ER reunion at the after party.
Other celebs in attendance include Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez (who brought Emme as her date), Rachel Zegler, Pierce Brosnan & Keely Shaye Smith, Gayle King, Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber, Hugh Jackman (Sutton Foster is currently touring so she was not with him), Monica Lewinsky, Uma Thurman, Richard Kind, Questlove, Matthew Rhys, Julia Roberts, Jim Parsons, and Anna Wintour.
