Long before his high-profile romance with Selena Gomez made headlines, Benny Blanco was a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Having collaborated with some of the industry’s biggest hitmakers like Rihanna and Katy Perry, Life & Style rounded up some of the biggest hits Benny’s produced.

What Songs Has Benny Blanco Produced?

Benny (real name: Benjamin Joseph Levin) had a love of music from a young age and has gone on to work with some of the hottest names in music. At just 25 years old, he already had 15 #1 singles to his name and collaborated with icons like No Doubt, Bruno Mars, OneRepublic, Nicki Minaj and Paul Epworth, per his biography on the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.

His songwriter and producer credits appear on some of music’s biggest hits, including Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” Kesha’s “TiK ToK” and “We R Who We R,” Britney Spears’ “Circus,” Justin Bieber’s “Lonely,” Selena Gomez’s “Same Old Love,” Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite,” Camila Cabello’s “Senorita,” Gym Class Heroes’ “Ass Back Home,” Juice WRLD’s “Black & White,” Sean Kingston’s “Eenie Meenie,” Maroon 5’s “Payphone” and “Moves Like Jagger” and Rixton’s “Me and My Broken Heart.”

His work on Trey Songz’s “Heart Attack” also led to a nomination for the Best R&B Song at the 2013 Grammy Awards.

Benny Blanco Released Music With Fiance Selena Gomez

Benny and Selena first crossed paths professionally in 2013 after her mother, Mandy Teefey, set up a meeting between the two of them. At the time, Selena was 16 years old and was still with Disney Records, while Benny was 25-years-old and hadn’t made it “big” yet.

“When she started putting out music, I was so into it. I feel like she was the original sad girl,” he said about his fiancé in a February 2025 conversation with Interview magazine. Benny coproduced two songs, “Kill Em with Kindness” and “Same Old Love,” on Selena’s 2015 album Revival. Four years later, the pair collaborated on J Balvin’s 2019 song “I Can’t Get Enough.”

Selena and Benny released their first joint album, I Said I Love You First, on March 21, 2025, marking their first project together as a couple.

The album celebrated the couple’s love story and gave “fans a unique window into their relationship,” per the press release.

“This album came together organically as a direct result of the comfort that they both felt when working together creatively, allowing them to produce art that authentically reflects their experiences,” read the statement obtained by People. “It chronicles their entire story — before they met, falling in love and looking to what the future holds.”

The pair revealed there was some “fear” in doing an album together, with Benny admitting, “We said at the beginning, ‘If this ever is weird, we cancel it f–king immediately.’”

“Sometimes it’s difficult for me to speak up,” the Disney alum told Interview magazine. “Whether we were together or not, I think he still would’ve listened to everything that I had to say, and he was able to almost transcribe it into music, into what the feeling of what I was talking about should be.”

She added, “And I really found that to be helpful because this album definitely feels just as much mine as I’m sure it does his.”
