Jennifer Aniston is putting the finishing touches to her nearly $15 million mansion in Montecito, California, and a source exclusively spills to Life & Style that she can’t wait to move up to the coastal retreat and start a brand-new chapter alongside her successful friends and other entertainment industry power players.
“Jen isn’t looking to sell her place in L.A. just yet, but she is planning to test out Montecito as a home base once it’s all done,” the source explains. “She has a ton of friends that live there already, including Rob Lowe and his wife Sheryl [Berkoff], Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden and Ellen [DeGeneres] and Portia [de Rossi] when they’re in town.”
“There’s a big contingent of A-listers that live in Montecito and Santa Barbara, and more seem to be moving all the time,” adds the source. “Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are there now and Jennifer has always spoken highly of them so they’ll be on her invite list for sure.”
The Friends alum, 56, is “very social” and “loves the idea of being able to have gatherings with her neighbors” once she’s settled in at her new upscale abode.
The home itself is a spacious 4,320 square feet and it sits on one acre of land. It also boasts “picturesque ocean and mountain views, multiple terraces, landscaped gardens, and a massive motor court, all set on a private lot nestled among oak trees at the end of a long-gated driveway,” according to Architectural Digest.
Jennifer bought the lavish property in 2022 and has been working on having it renovated to fit her tastes since then. Part of those renovations included demolishing the backyard to make way for an in-ground pool, Hello Magazine reported in February.
“She also loves that it’s a lot more laid back there, so when she does want to get away, she can genuinely get some privacy,” the source continues. “It’s a little like Malibu 30 years ago. She’s excited to make a new life there and maybe even do some dating.”
As for her current dating life, a separate source told In Touch on February 12 that Jennifer “still believes in love” after seven years of being a single woman.
“She hasn’t given up hope that the right guy is out there for her!” added the source.
Jennifer recently sparked rumors of romance with Pedro Pascal after they were spotted having dinner for three hours at the Tower Bar in West Hollywood on March 22.
However, the Morning Show actress and the beloved Last of Us star, 49, are “just friends” despite having “similar senses of humor” and bonding over food, films and traveling, insiders exclusively dished to In Touch on March 24.
“Everyone is hoping that Jen and Pedro’s dinner date is a sign of a blossoming romance, but unfortunately, they’re just friends,” one insider revealed. “They’re both getting a kick out of all the buzz, even their friends are calling them and asking them what’s up.”
“Of course, their friends would love for them to get together,” the insider continued. “Who knows what the future holds, but as of right now, they are just enjoying this new friendship.”
