Fans watched Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa get engaged during the season 29 finale of The Bachelor, though the couple revealed they have no plans to rush into marriage.
“I think that we are taking it one day at a time,” Grant, 31, told People in an interview published one day after the finale aired on Monday, March 24. “Right now, we are learning each other and we’re falling more in love with each other every day.”
While Grant and Juliana, 28, plan to get married, Juliana said they are in “no rush” to head to the altar.
“I just feel like we want to live life together for a minute,” Juliana explained. “A wedding is a big thing, and there’s so many people we have to meet. I want them all to have an opportunity to see [Grant], see us, and just have it make sense to everybody.”
Despite not being ready to plan a wedding, Grant admitted he has thought about what their ceremony will be like. “We’re going to live it up. There’s going to be wine, there’s going to be family, and it’s going to be a celebration of life,” Grant said, adding that Juliana would like to get married in Italy. “When the time is right, we’re going to handle it and we’re going to talk about it, and we’re going to have a really fun wedding.”
And while fans will have to wait for Grant and Juliana to get married, the couple revealed during the After the Final Rose special that he is moving to Boston to be with her.
“I love the dynamic that her town has and that her family has, and I want to be close to that,” the New Jersey native said about his move. “I’m going to have my house in Houston, but I’m also going to come over there and we’re going to make it work.”
Juliana added that they’ll take “a peek at some apartments” to see what their “vibe is like” where they want to eventually live. “We’re going to figure it out,” Grant shared.
The couple also opened up about the activities they’re excited to do together now that they no longer have to hide their romance. Grant said he’s excited to do the “little things” with Juliana.
“Dinners or just dancing in the kitchen, cooking together or just seeing her family or mine – those are the things that I really look forward to,” he shared.
After Grant sent home runner-up Litia Garr during the finale, he got down on one knee to ask Juliana for her hand in marriage.
“I truly believe that you’re somebody who is my best friend, and I’m so grateful for our journey, and when you’re going through the toughest times in your life, I want you to know that you don’t have to go through it alone, that I’ll be there for you, as your man, as your friend, as your partner,” he told Juliana during the romantic proposal. “Will you marry me?”
