Brittany Cartwright revealed she hasn’t repaired her relationship with Katie Maloney — but not for lack of trying.
During the Friday, March 21, episode of her “When Reality Hits” podcast, Cartwright, 36, answered a fan question about whether she reconnected with Maloney, 38.
“Not really,” she replied. “I want nothing but the best for Katie. I still have so much love for her. We were so close. She was the matron of honor in my wedding, so I want nothing but the best for her.”
Cartwright said the last time she heard from Maloney was after her split from Jax Taylor, adding, “She did reach out in the beginning whenever I went through my separation. So I thought that was so nice.”
When Cartwright returned the olive branch, she didn’t get the same response — or any.
“I have reached out to her after her father passed away, which is horrible. And it was her birthday. So I reached out for her for both of those times. I didn’t hear back,” she revealed. “But I know she’s also busy. I’m busy. But she has reached out to me a couple of times.”
Cartwright continued: “I have nothing but love for her. If I saw her out, I would give her a big hug and everything like that. But no, we haven’t really reconnected in that way.”
The duo originally formed a friendship while filming Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules. Cartwright exited the series with Taylor, 45, in 2022 — and has since confirmed that she wasn’t as close with Maloney.
“We still have love for each other,” she said during Peacock’s Watch With Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor in April 2023. “It’s crazy seeing Katie because she was literally my matron of honor. We were so close. And I have barely even heard from her in a whole entire year.”
Cartwright and Maloney’s distance also came after The Valley star got involved in Stassi Schroeder‘s drama with Taylor. For those Bravo fans who don’t remember, Taylor and Cartwright missed Schroeder and Beau Clark‘s nuptials in Italy in 2022. Schroeder, 36, who previously dated Taylor during season 1 of Vanderpump Rules, claimed Taylor didn’t tell them he and Cartwright wouldn’t be attending until they heard it from a mutual friend.
Meanwhile, Cartwright and Taylor have argued that several personal issues led to them having to change their plans at the last second. Schroeder has since not fully reconciled with either Cartwright or Taylor, and Maloney — who was Schroeder’s maid of honor — seemed to keep her distance as well.

Taylor later publicly called out Maloney for allegedly being “mean” to Cartwright.
“She’s mean to my wife. She hasn’t returned calls and they haven’t talked forever. She did our gender reveal [party] and she was in our wedding,” Taylor said during an appearance at City Winery in October 2023. “Katie’s got a little bit of a big head right now. She’s riding on Ariana [Madix]’s coattails.”
A fan account allegedly received a message from Maloney in response, which read, “Lol Brittany hasn’t called me. I also saw her on Scheana [Shay]’s birthday and we were fine. I’m not mean to her.”
Taylor fired back when he saw screenshots of Maloney’s alleged response circulating on social media.
“Bull s—.. you are a mean girl to my wife .. she’s done nothing to you but be your friend,” he wrote in the comments section of the fan account. “That’s lie we need to see proof!!! I can say s— too show the proof that you called…”
