Morgan Wallen has threatened to release his 4th studio album, I’m The Problem, this May.
“I have been a problem, for sure, and I’ve got no problem admitting that,” Wallen said in a statement. “But there are other sides to me as well. I’ve spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, ‘Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?’ I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it.”
He has faced multiple controversies, including a recent arrest in Nashville for throwing a chair from a rooftop bar, a 2021 suspension from his record label after saying a racist slur while drunk, backlash for violating COVID-19 protocols, cheating allegations, and a prior arrest for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
He was sentenced to seven days incarceration at a DUI education center and two years’ probation for his most recent arrest.
