Fire Country viewers are in for a treat, as CBS will be airing 2 episodes back-to-back as season 3 comes to a dramatic end. Life & Style breaks down what’s ahead in the season finale.

Fire Country’s Season Finale Is Supersized

The show will sign off for season 3 with two one-hour episodes that stand alone, although the first episode sets the stage for the second episode.

Part one of the season finale is titled “A Change in the Wind” and was directed by series creator and star, Max Thieriot.

“When a fire erupts at a gas station, Bode and Manny jump into action to protect the patrons and property,” CBS shared about the plotline in a March 20, 2025, press release. It refers to Max’ Bode Donovan character and Kevin Alejandro‘s Manny Perez.

A Dangerous Wildfire Breaks Out in the ‘Fire County’ Season 3 Finale

Part two is titled “I’d Do It Again” and airs immediately after “A Change in the Wind.”

“Extremely high winds and dangerous conditions push the Zebel Ridge fire into Edgewater, threatening Three Rock and Walter’s care facility,” the CBS synopsis reads, as the CalFire conservation camp for prisoners and the Northern California town are in danger of going up in flames.

When Does the ‘Fire Country’ Season 3 Finale Air?

Part one of the Fire Country season 3 finale airs on April 25, 2025 at 9 p.m. ET, while part two comes on immediately afterward at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.

Is ‘Fire Country’ Returning for Season 4?

Yes. While CBS hasn’t revealed the exact airdate yet, Fire Country season 4 will begin airing in the fall of 2025.

At this point it doesn’t appear that any major characters meet their maker in the season 3 finale, as Max, Kevin, Jordan Calloway as Jake Crawford, Stephanie Arcila as Gabriela Perez, Jules Latimer as Eve Edwards, Diane Farr as Sharon Leone and Billy Burke as Vince Leone are all expected to return.

‘Fire Country’ Is Launching a Spinoff called ‘Sheriff Country’

Paramount Plus announced on February 20, 2025, that Fire Country would be receiving a spinoff, Sheriff Country, that will expand its horizons past Edgewater.

It will feature Fire Country star Morena Baccarin in her role as Sheriff Mickey Fox, with a focus on her law-enforcement character.

    What Is ‘Fire Country’ About?

Fire Country is based around convict Bode, who works out of a fire camp for prisoner outside of his hometown of Edgewater. The series is Max’s brainchild after drawing on his own life experiences growing up amid wildfires in Northern California. It premiered on CBS on October 7, 2022.

“It certainly started from a purely firefighting CalFire standpoint and what that would look like, but the inmate firefighter program was always going to be something that would be involved in the show,” Max told Variety in October 2022.

“Because of growing up in Northern California, it was normal, everyday life for me, seeing conservation camp crews work alongside the highway and on the fire lines driving around. Then I realized folks that aren’t from up there, specifically, didn’t really know this was a thing a few years ago,” he explained about inmate firefighters.
