In terms of fashion, there’s one thing fans can count on with Lainey Wilson: She’s going to rock a chic cowboy hat and bell-bottom pants. Since the look is the country star’s uniform, fans wonder if the bride-to-be is going to wear bell-bottoms during her upcoming wedding with fiancé Devlin “Duck” Hodges, and luckily, Lainey answered the pressing question.
Is Lainey Wilson Going to Wear Bell-Bottoms at Her Wedding?
Lainey revealed she’s skipping the bell-bottoms when she says “I do” to forever with Devlin.
“I’m going to wear a dress,” the CMA award-winner said during the March 20, 2025, episode of the “The Kelleigh Bannen Show” podcast. “I hadn’t done the whole dress shopping. We haven’t even picked a date or anything like that. We got some time, but I figured, you know what? I hadn’t worn a dress for him yet, and I guess that would be the day to do it.”
While dishing on her unique style, Lainey shared that she wore the flared pants as a kid and clothed herself in the garment when she kickstarted her music career in Nashville, Tennessee.
“A few years in [to her music career], I realized pretty quickly that as a decent female singer-songwriter, that’s not enough. I needed to do something that made me stand out and stand apart,” she admitted.

The former NFL star proposed to the Yellowstone actress in February 2025 after dating for four years.
“4x4xU forever,” Lainey captioned the February 12, 2025, engagement announcement via Instagram.
The “Heart Like a Truck” songbird shared a carousel of photos and videos of the major moment, showing how her future hubby popped the big question.
Seemingly in front of the front door of their home, Devlin set up picture frames filled with photos of them alongside long-stemmed roses and candles. After Lainey said “Yes,” the pair shared a few laughs and posed for photos while showing off the “Things a Man Oughta Know” artist’s massive diamond ring.
In the final slide of the post, Lainey showed off her silly side while she walked down the steps with a fake limp, showcasing how heavy her new piece of jewelry was.
Five months prior, Lainey dished on her dream engagement ring – and she only had one must-have.
“I don’t care what shape it is, but I want to be walking with a limp,” Lainey joked to Kelly Sutton and Amber Anderson on the “Country Heat Weekly” podcast.
“If you can’t see it from a mile away, it’s not big enough,” Kelly quipped, leading Lainey to respond, “Duck is listening to this going ‘Oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh’— better go get you a loan, baby.”
The following month, a source exclusively told Life & Style that Lainey was “ready for the next step” with the real estate agent.
“What she wants now is to be married with a baby on the way,” the insider revealed, later adding, “She’ll have no trouble proposing to him if push comes to shove. But it shouldn’t be a problem. He likes to hear her talk about the future.”
