Sabrina Carpenter was thrilled to reunite with her idol Miley Cyrus at the Grammys and mutual pal Dolly Parton is pushing them to work together after taking both young starlets under her wing in the hopes of a three-way collaboration, a source exclusively tells Life & Style.

“Dolly is so impressed by Sabrina, by not only her talent but her humility and work ethic,” the source shares. “She thinks Miley would be a wonderful mentor for her and she’s making it her mission to link them up.”

Dolly, 79, and Sabrina, 25, previously teamed up to record a new version of “Please Please Please” together in 2024. The source explains the country music legend “loves” the song and the idea of a future collaboration with both Sabrina and Miley, 32, is “being floated around.”

“Dolly’s totally into it,” the source continues. “First step though is getting Miley and Sabrina together for a more in depth hang session, either in Nashville or L.A.”

“It’s a given that Sabrina will be up for this, and Miley is super supportive, but she’s also got a crazy busy schedule,” the source notes. “That being said, if her godmother suggests it, odds are she’ll move things around to accommodate this. She’s always big on making Dolly happy.”

The “Jolene” singer “rarely asks her for anything,” according to the source, “so it’s hard to imagine her not being into this.”

Sabrina’s own appreciation for Miley has been in full force since she was a little girl. When she was only 10 years old, she placed third in the MileyWorld Superstar Contest singing competition out of 7,000 contestants. Her stellar performance even earned her a meet and greet with the “Flowers” singer, who told her she was “doing awesome” in the contest.

“I wish I could do it all over again. It was really cool,” Sabrina gushed, according to a 2009 article in Pennsylvania newspaper The Morning Call.

While she didn’t end up placing first in the talent competition, the “Espresso” artist shared her hopes for striking up a singing career in the future.

“Hopefully someday maybe at a little girl’s birthday party they’ll have my music on,” she said. “That would just be an awesome feeling.”

She also won front row tickets to see Miley live on stage for her “Wonder Tour” in Philadelphia.

“I was kind of starstruck,” she added at the time. “It was a really awesome experience.”

Sabrina’s years of hard work paid off as she won Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2025 Grammys for “Short n’ Sweet,” beating fellow singers Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.

“All those nominees on the screen are some of my favorite artists in the world. This is my first Grammy, so, woo, I’m gonna cry,” she emotionally confessed during her acceptance speech.

“I wanna thank my fans who let my music be heard by the Recording Academy. I want to thank my mom for driving me to every voice lesson, and I want to thank my dad and my sisters. I want to thank my team, Ireland Records,” she continued. “What the hell? Thank you, this is so special to me and ‘Short and Sweet’ means the world.”
