Marc Anthony shared a rare comment about his 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.
“If you learned anything after all these years, is whatever they want, whatever they say,” Marc, 56, told E! News in an interview published on Friday, March 14. “No, they’re wonderful. I have a wonderful family, a wonderful wife — Marquito is a year and a half. I’m just enjoying this stage of my life.”
It’s been an exciting time for the “Vivir Mi Vida” singer. Marc got married for the fourth time to Miss Universe 2021 finalist Nadia Ferreira in January 2023. Only five months later, the pair welcomed their first child together, a son named Marco, in June 2023.
Marc was previously married to Dayanara Torres from 2000 to 2004, Jennifer Lopez from 2004 to 2014, and Shannon De Lima from 2014 to 2017.
“I’m proud that I’m not in trouble with my wife,” the “Tu Amor Me Hace Bien” singer told the outlet. “Just give me two hours. I’ll screw it up at some point.”
Marco marked Marc’s seventh child as he’s a father to six other children. He shares daughter Arianna, 30, and son Chase, 28, with ex-girlfriend Debbie Rosado; sons Cristian, 24, and Ryan, 21, with ex-wife Dayanara; and twins Emme and Maximilian with J. Lo, 55.
Marc has maintained a friendly relationship with the “Jenny From the Block” artist as they coparent their twins following their 2014 divorce.
“We are like best friends,” Jennifer told television host Kelly Ripa in March 2017. “We are making an album now. Actually, he’s helping me make my Spanish album. At first, I was like, we’re good with the kids, but if we start working together, are we going to start going at each other again? But it’s been awesome. Honestly, I think it’s even helped our relationship and it’s made things even better.”
Emme, who is known to be notoriously private from the spotlight, even praised the relationship with their parents while promoting her 2020 children’s book, Lord Help Me.
“My parents are incredibly proud of me. Extremely,” they told Access Hollywood in an October 2020 interview. “And my mom helped me, she’s supported me in every way possible. She helped me, she came with me to the publishing meetings. … My dad is also extremely proud of me. Sadly, he couldn‘t come to any of the meetings, but he was there when I did the audiobook.“
Emme made headlines by joining the “All I Have” singer onstage for their 2020 Super Bowl halftime performance — a passion that Marc has openly supported.
“Music was a big part of my life growing up and I hope it does the same for [Emme] as it has done for me,” the musician said in a 2019 interview. “And if that is what she wants to do … well, she should do it because she likes it, not because she has to. Not for fame, or popularity, or for likes.”
