Jeff Daniels is joining the cast of Shrinking for Season 3!
The 70-year-old Dumb & Dumber star will recur in the upcoming season alongside Jason Segal and Harrison Ford on the Apple TV+ hit series, Deadline confirmed on Wednesday (March 12).
Shrinking follows grieving therapist Jimmy (Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.

Jeff will play Jimmy’s father.
This is one of Jeff‘s first comedy roles in a long time, having starred in dramas since the 2014 sequel to Dumb and Dumber. Shrinking is also his first major live-action comedy series role.
The main cast includes Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley.
