Chappell Roan wasn’t afraid to show off how she suffered a major NSFW wardrobe malfunction while attending Paris Fashion Week.
The “Pink Pony Club” singer, 27, shared a photo showing her red one-shouldered dress she wore for the Ludovic de Saint Sernin show with a giant tear all the way up the backside. It started at the hemline just above her knee and went nearly to her waist. In the process, Chappell showed off her bare butt cheeks and sheer black thong she was wearing underneath the garment.c
The Grammy winner snuck the photo into a carousel of snapshots on Sunday, March 9, after attending the Saint Serin show, as well as those by Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen.
“What a dream come true, thank you,” Chappell wrote in the caption while tagging the design houses. She included red carpet photos in the various outfits she wore to attend the shows.
Fans immediately zeroed in on her wardrobe malfunction snapshot. “The cake was too powerful omg,” one person commented, while another added, “Leather couldn’t handle the cake!” A follower lamented the garment coming apart, writing, “Oh no the dress!”
In a random twist, Ice Spice had the exact same wardrobe malfunction happen to a dress she wore during Paris Fashion Week.
On March 9, the rapper, 25, showed off how her figure-hugging black vinyl dress ripped up the back, exposing her bare butt cheek. “It was cute too,” Ice wrote about her dress in a photo before the fashion accident occurred.
Chappell shared a side-by-side photo of their respective wardrobe malfunctions in an Instagram Story, writing, “Mine ripped in the same spot” with a laughing emoji. The two women bonded prior to their mutual dress disasters when they sat side-by-side in the front two of the Vivienne Westwood show on March 8.
The “HOT TO GO!” singer donned a very NSFW look at that event, wearing a black dress featuring a diagonal swath of sheer black fabric on top that exposed her left breast.
Chappell served up so many amazing looks during her time at Paris Fashion Week, but she saved her most iconic moment for the Valentino show on Monday, March 10. The “Good Luck Babe” singer arrived in a huge lace and floral gown with a hoop skirt that needed several assistants to help carry as she approached the show’s venue.
“What an honor to wear @maisonvalentino couture. I’m obsessed with the show, the collection, everything,” Chappell wrote in an Instagram post following the show, praising new creative director Alessandro Michele. “I feel like such a lucky girl. It’s so amazing, thank you for having me Paris!!!! À bientôt” she added, which is French for “See you soon.”

Chappell has proven to be such a fashion-forward star when it comes to her red carpet appearances.
For the 2025 Grammys in February, she donned a 2003 Gaultier vintage gown from the archives. The yellow tulle dress featured prints of Edgar Degas’ ballerinas on it. Chappell even wore the ice blue sheer gloves and blue and yellow feather headpiece that the model wore when walking down the runway in the ensemble 22 years prior.
