Hailey Bieber doesn’t want the drama. The model and wife of Justin Bieber slammed viral rumors that she “liked” a shady video of his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez and her fiancé, Benny Blanco.
“This never happened,” Hailey’s rep told Page Six in a statement on Sunday, March 9. “This entire story has been fabricated by a content creator looking to capitalize off of an old, tired narrative.”
TikTok creator @courtneypresto posted a video criticizing Selena, 32, and Benny’s Interview magazine photo shoot on February 14. “This is the WORST,” the content creator captioned the clip, slamming the photo shoot.
In a follow-up video, @courtneypresto showed off an alleged “like” on the February 14 video by Hailey, 28, and said a feud between her and the Rare Beauty founder was “alive and well.”
“I feel like this is definitive proof that when Hailey Bieber is like, ‘Oh, it’s all love. It’s all good, we have absolutely no beef. Everything is completely fine,’ she’s lying,” the social media user said.
Selena dated the “Never Say Never” hitmaker, 31, on and off from 2011 to 2018. However, after their final split, Hailey and Justin reconnected in June 2018, after briefly dating two years earlier. He popped the question one month later and the couple married in a New York courthouse ceremony in September 2018. The duo threw a formal wedding for family and friends at a South Carolina resort in September 2019.
Over the years, drama has ensued between Selena and Hailey fans over the relationship with the Canadian singer. The Rhode beauty founder has tried to tame the tension, speaking to Alex Cooper on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast and making it clear she never hooked up with Justin while he was with Selena.
“It’s all respect. It’s all love,” she explained in September 2022. “That’s also why I feel like … well … if everybody on our side knows what happened and we’re good and we can walk away from it with clarity and respect, then that’s fine. That brought me a lot of peace. We know what happened. It is what it is.”
Selena has since moved on with the 36-year-old music producer, announcing their engagement in December 2024 after dating for over a year.
Although it’s unclear where Hailey and Selena stand, sources exclusively told Life & Style that Selena avoided Hailey while attending the 2025 Vanity Fair afterparty earlier this month.
“Selena has nothing against Hailey, that’s never really been her focus, and she’s certainly way over the long-standing trend of pitting women against each other. So, not putting herself in a situation like that is just about self-care and not giving haters any ammunition,” the insider dished. “She only wishes the best for Hailey, Justin and their new baby. Selena’s Oscar night was all about good vibes, celebrating her film Emilia Pérez and her costars, and the industry she loves.”
The source continued, “So yes, while she didn’t obsess about it, avoiding a potential Hailey Bieber viral moment was in the back of her head. It’s not always possible, but she’s learned to avoid potentially awkward moments. If she had bumped into her, she definitely would have said hello.”
