• The Oscars are over, it’s time for real television to make a comeback!
• ABCs Thursday night line-up of 911, Doctor Odyssey, and Grey’s Anatomy are back and are picking up right where they left off at the end of last year. Both 911 and Doctor Odyssey are touting their midseason premieres as “2 part” event episodes.
• The 911 midseason two parter (08×09: “Sob Stories” and 08×10: “Voices”) sees Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) caught in the path of a serial killer, with Athena (Angela Bassett) leading the manhunt and Chimney (Kenneth Choi) worrying over Maddie’s involvement. Showrunner Tim Minear cited the 1980 case of Minnesota’s “Weepy-Voiced Killer” as inspiration for the storyline. Elsewhere, Eddie and Buck are still doing their dance with Eddie determined to move to El Paso for his son, Chris. Minear says that this decision will have Buck “spin out”.
• Buck looking devastated, plus pictures from another emergency featured in the episode: a fire at an animal shelter.

• Doctor Odyssey continues to be a fun time, not so much jumping the shark but instead having it ram into the ship at full force and somehow knocking out power to the entire ship in the process! Episode 01×09 is titled: “Shark Attack!” and episode 01×10 is titled: “Shark Attack! Part 2: Orca!”
• The new teaser welcomes Adrianne Palicki to the show, playing a trauma surgeon who is gonna cause some trouble with our should-be-throuple Avery/Max/Tristan.
• Shania Twain is expected to reprise her role from earlier this season. Paris Jackson, Charlotte Lawrence, Ava Philippe, and Rumor Willis will also guest star in the second half of the season.
• Finally, a crossover between 911 and Doctor Odyssey is set to air in March. It’s unknown yet how big or substantial the crossover between both episodes will be at this point, though Angela Bassett’s Athena Grant will board a cruise ship once again in her endless pursuit of people to arrest.
• Episode 21×09: “Hit The Floor” picks up with Jo and Lucas in the middle of a convenience store robbery (if you haven’t watched in a while Lucas is technically a Shepherd and as we all know, Amelia and Derek’s father was killed during a very similar type of robbery). Jo, pregnant with twins, is in distress and Lucas attempted to unarm the robber.
• It was announced that writer, actor, and Cynthia Ervio pramour, Lena Waithe is stopping by the show for a few episodes. She plays Dr. Evynn Moore a former student of Debbie Allen’s character Catherine Fox. Waithe appears to share a few scenes with Ellen Pompeo, who is back for another guest appearance this season.
