The Outer Banks drama has seemingly continued as fans noticed Rudy Pankow unfollowed costars Madison Bailey and Madelyn Cline amid their rumored feud.

It’s unclear exactly when Rudy, 26, unfollowed Madison, 26, and Madelyn, 27, on Instagram, though several fans took to social media on Tuesday, February 25, to note that he no longer follows them.

“Well … the day has finally come and Rudy has officially unfollowed Madison on Instagram. A bit random to do it now after all that we endured over the last 4 years but hey! it’s never too late it seems,” one person wrote via X alongside a screenshot that showed his account doesn’t follow Madison.

Several fans weighed in on the discovery, with one person writing, “It was gonna happen eventually.” Another added, “He unfollowed Madelyn too.”

Life & Style can confirm that Rudy no longer follows Madelyn or Madison as of time of publication.

Fans noticed that Rudy no longer follows Madison or Madelyn amid their rumored ongoing feud. The speculation began following a cast dinner in 2023, which was held when they were filming season 4.

Rudy attended the dinner with his girlfriend, Elaine Siemek, an Outer Banks assistant he has been dating since November 2020. After the dinner, fans claimed on social media that Madison and Elaine, 29, reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram. Elaine also reportedly unfollowed Madison’s girlfriend, Mariah Linney, while Mariah, 26, and Rudy also allegedly unfollowed each other.

It’s currently unclear what happened that led them to all unfollow each other, and reps for Rudy and Madison did not get back to Life & Style when asked for clarification.

Meanwhile, Life & Style confirmed that Madelyn wasn’t following Rudy or Elaine on Instagram in November 2024.

Speculation about the falling out continued when fans claimed Rudy and Madison lost the chemistry they had in past seasons during season 4. The duo played a couple on the show until Rudy’s character was killed off in the latest season.

“Apparently there were times when filming together was difficult,” a source exclusively told Life and Style in November 2024 about Rudy and Madison, adding that the tension was “not something they’re ever going to admit to because it just reflects badly on the show and on everyone.”

The insider continued, “There were a lot of whispers that things soured between them. They were very close friends at one point, and something did seem to happen to break that bond, which obviously would make filming together a struggle at times.”

“They’re both super professional so it didn’t cause issues on the set or with their performances, but there was a lot of gossip flying around about how strained things were between them the moment the cameras were off,” the source noted.

Another rumor that circulated online was that Rudy and Madison used body doubles to film scenes together amid their rift, though a source debunked the theory while exclusively speaking to Life & Style.

“They are both adamant that the rumors about them having body doubles because they refused to shoot together is completely off base,” the insider said in November 2024. “That hasn’t stopped the rumors from flying around, especially because the way certain scenes were edited, it really does seem suspect. It wouldn’t be the first time that trick was used for two costars that weren’t getting along, but Rudy and Madison one hundred percent deny it.”
