Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce soaked up the sun while enjoying a “private, romantic getaway” together.
The “You Belong With Me” songstress, 35, and Kansas City football star, 35, returned to the States following a lavish international vacation where they spent time alone, a source told Page Six on Thursday, February 27.
“Taylor and Travis had a really nice time reconnecting after a very busy year,” the insider said. “Taylor and Travis have stepped out for a date night since returning to the U.S. but went unnoticed when they did so. They weren’t photographed or anything, and enjoyed a low-key night out on the town together.”
The news of their getaway comes weeks after Travis failed to lead his team to victory during Super Bowl LIX earlier this month. Taylor cheered on her boyfriend and his teammates from her private suite, but the Chiefs ultimately lost to the Philadelphia Eagles with a final score of 40-22. Travis struggled to make an impact in the big game, managing just four catches for 39 yards.
“Taylor is supporting Travis during this difficult time and it’s just trying to be there for him as much as possible,” a source told Us Weekly on February 11, about how Taylor supported her man after the game. “The game obviously did not go as planned.”
Despite the hard loss, Taylor and Travis have a lot to look forward to in the offseason. Prior to the game, an insider exclusively told Life & Style that the A-listers seemingly have wedding bells in their future.
“Everyone in Travis and Taylor’s world assumes an engagement is coming,” the source dished on February 6. “In fact, a lot of people find it pretty extraordinary that it hasn’t happened already.”
The insider added that the tight end has been “so open about Taylor being The One” and there’s no question that he “wants to spend the rest of his life with her and vice versa.”
When it comes to when he’ll finally pop the question, the source said that Travis “wants to knock it out of the park.”
Following the game, fans were buzzing with speculation about Travis’ future, as retirement rumors ignited. Although the Grotesquerie star hasn’t confirmed his decision about his future in the league, he has addressed the chatter.
“It’s gonna sting. I know everybody wants to know whether or not I’m playing next year and right now I’m just kicking everything down the road,” he told brother Jason Kelce on the February 12 episode of the “New Heights” podcast. “I’m not making any crazy decisions but right now the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches, understanding that a lot that goes into this thing.”
While his mind isn’t made up about the future, Travis previously praised his girlfriend for her support of his career.
“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” he said about Taylor while appearing on the Stephen A. Smith Show on January 15. “She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dream
