Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are rebuilding their lives from the ground up following the devastating wildfires that destroyed their dream home – and a source exclusively tells Life & Style they’re overcome with gratitude at the outpouring of love and support they’ve received from a host of Hollywood peers, as well as fans who are downloading her old music to help put some money in her bank account.

“Adam and Leighton are so well loved, they have an amazing circle of friends that have stepped in to support them while they go through this nightmare,” the source says.

Adam, 45, and wife Leighton, 38, got married in 2014 and bought their Pacific Palisades home in 2019 to house their growing family – they share two children – but unfortunately can now count themselves among the many thousands of people who had their homes destroyed in the January 2025 fires that swept through the Los Angeles area.

To counter the horrendous scale of the suffering, people around the world have been contributing to an enormous outpouring of good will taking all kinds of forms – including direct contributions to charitable causes, food bank and temporary housing support and raising awareness for others. In the case of the married actor duo Adam and Leighton, who will appear on screen together for season 2 of Nobody Wants This, fans and celeb friends alike are trying to help them out by streaming Leighton’s music, which she mostly released in the early 2010s.

Flavor Flav has been the most vocal,” the source adds. “He’s rallied fans to download her music, but they have tons of other people in Hollywood that are behind them.”

“Starting to hype up my girl Leighton Meester and help her family recover from the fire,” the Public Enemy rapper, 65, captioned a TikTok video of him dancing to the Gossip Girl alum and Robin Thicke’s 2009 single “Somebody to Love” on January 14.

In addition to helping out his friends, the musician also made a point to encourage others to donate to GoFundMe programs and other charities helping families put out by the fires. “I would like everybody to join in with your boy Flavor Flav and help donate to all of these families right now that’s in need because they need us right now,” he added.

Beyond Flavor Flav, many of the couple’s other celebrity friends have been there to lend a hand to help or a shoulder to cry on.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepherd have really been there for them, but the list goes on and on,” the source continues. “Rachel Bilson, Penn Badgley, Chase Crawford, Seth McFarlane, John Mulaney, Olivia Munn – it’s impossible to name all their famous friends because they are both so popular.”

“They’re just very good people so everyone has been reaching out offering to help any way they can. This is obviously a devastating time but they are being really stoic about it and just focusing on how lucky they are to be alive and even doing what they can to help others in the midst of their own crisis.”
