We found some great deals on international travel. Air Canada has several redemption examples on the sale page, including a round-trip flight from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Athens International Airport (ATH) for 51,700 points and $348 Canadian dollars ($245) in taxes and fees. Based on TPG’s valuations, Aeroplan points are worth 1.5 cents each, making this redemption worth $1,020.50, including taxes and fees.
If you are looking for a more tropical locale, we also spotted this one-way deal from YYZ to Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in the Bahamas for 9,200 Aeroplan points and $150 CAD (about $105) in taxes and fees. Per TPG valuations, this redemption is worth $243, including taxes and fees. When we checked fares outside of the sale period, similar flights regularly go for 10,000 points or more.
These prices are for standard reward economy redemptions, which do not include seat selection or checked bags. However, you can upgrade to a Flex Reward that includes these benefits. Or, you could opt for a business-class seat, which is also included in this sale.
