Kaia Gerber is out on the dating scene again, getting cozy with actor Lewis Pullman – and a source exclusively tells Life & Style that she’s wasting no time leaving ex-boyfriend Austin Butler in the dust!
“Kaia is one of the most gorgeous girls in her generation, she’s also very bright and well-spoken with a lot more depth than people might guess. Guys are lining up to have a shot with her,” the insider explains to Life & Style.
According to the source, “Lewis is someone she’s known peripherally through the Malibu circle for years, he’s a quality guy with a celebrity pedigree so he’s someone her parents feel good about.”
“He’s pretty serious and hardworking, he’s not some wild party guy,” the insider shares about the Riff Raff actor, 32.
Additionally, Kaia, 23, “isn’t going to race into anything, but she does seem to be excited about him.”
While Kaia is definitely interested in Lewis, the source points out that “she does have a history of going from one relationship to the next.”
“She’s not really the type to date around so it won’t shock anyone if she and Lewis get serious,” the insider continues. “Not that she’s devoid of feeling, she was super sad when Austin ended things, but she has dusted herself off and is ready to live again. Austin was a great guy and a catch but there are plenty more where he came from, she can have her pick.”
Kaia is moving on just one month after it was revealed that she and Austin, 33, called it quits after three years of dating. She and Lewis first sparked dating rumors in late January when they were spotted out to dinner together, though neither person has publicly discussed their relationship status.
However, an insider revealed to Us Weekly that she and Lewis have been seeing each other much longer than most people realize. “In early December, Kaia and Lewis started seriously hanging out and were seen all around L.A., but mostly on the east side,” the source revealed in a story published on January 31. “Kaia would make sure to be in a hat to try and be unnoticed, but they would be at their favorite restaurants, bars and clubs, holding hands and showing PDA. They were just frequenting crowds that didn’t really know them.”
After noting that Kaia and Lewis “have actually been together for a while now,” the insider continued, “They started dating in early December [2024]. They kept it under wraps until the news of her and Austin’s split came out. Kaia and Austin have been broken up since October.”
Kaia and Austin were both notoriously private about their romance, so it’s no surprise that they’ve been just as secretive about their split. However, an additional insider exclusively told Life & Style that their breakup was inevitable due to his rising star in Hollywood.
“There was nothing normal about Austin and Kaia’s relationship because of the trajectory he’s on and the insane amount of attention he attracts wherever he goes,” the source, who has known the Elvis star for years, said.
The insider continued, “Even though Kaia is from a famous family, she can blend in and be anonymous when she wants to, but that’s been impossible for Austin since he made Elvis three years ago. Yes, he loves a good time and can drink anybody he knows under the table, but It was also a culture clash – Austin comes from a different world than Kaia and everybody could see that.”
