Céline Dion is planning a sensational, full return to music in 2025 and now a source can exclusively detail for Life & Style how she’s preparing for that comeback with the help of loved ones who are helping every step of the way.

“Céline is one determined lady, but she’s not doing this on her own,” the insider says. “She has a dedicated team of medical experts as well as the most supportive inner circle of family and friends.”

Céline, 56, had initially put a halt to all of her live stage performances for her Las Vegas residency in 2021, ultimately revealing a heartbreaking diagnosis in December 2022 of stiff person syndrome (SPS), which, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, is a rare neurological disorder. Its symptoms include “stiff muscles in the trunk (torso), arms and legs,” and “greater sensitivity to noise, touch and emotional distress, which can set off muscle spasms.” The disease is progressive, meaning someone with SPS may eventually develop debilitating symptoms, including hunched posture or even the inability to walk or move, in addition to health risks like frequent falls and serious injuries.

However, down but now out, the French-Canadian singer gave a moving rendition of Edith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’amour” during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris in July 2024. With her triumphant return to the stage, many believe Céline is battling successfully against her incurable disorder and plans to reignite her career full time – if she can manage it with the help of her doctors and children.

Céline shares three children with her late husband René Angélil: René-Charles, 24, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 14. The kids have become essential to the singer’s wellbeing, both physically and emotionally.

“On the days when she feels overwhelmed her boys are right there cheering her on and reminding her of all that she wants to do,” the insider adds. “They’re always home for dinner with her every night because they know how much it means for her to have them around, her boys keep her spirits up and keep her emotionally strong.”

Concerning her current health status, a second source previously told Life & Style, “Physically, she continues to experience spasms, and the pain comes and goes,” adding, “Still, Céline feels like she’s gotten a second chance at doing what she loves, thanks to various therapies and treatments. She is calling it a miracle.”

The treatments are a ton of hard work for the “That’s the Way It Is” songstress, including intense physical preparation for the demanding task of full-length concert singing.

“She spends hours in physical therapy every day, but there is some concern that she’s overdoing it so they also make sure she’s getting enough rest,” the first source explains. “She’s also got a very devoted business team and right now the goal is to set up another residency for her in Las Vegas, the details are all being worked out but Céline is absolutely convinced she can pull it off, she’s very excited about what they coming year holds.”
