Singer Britton Moore made quite a first impression on season 27 of The Voice, as all four coaches turned their chairs during the blind auditions in an effort to claim him as their contestant. Britton is young and talented and almost auditioned for the show years ago before a school athletic commitment caused him to hold back.

    Who Is Britton Moore?

Britton is 21 years old as of February 2025. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where he graduated from Ronald Reagan High School.

The young man is deeply faithful, as his parents, Alicia and Jonathan Moore, are the pastors of NorthRock Church in San Antonio. He included Bible quotes as inspiration behind many of the photos on his Instagram page.

The music lover shared a photo on July 23, 2023, performing at NorthRock along with the church’s band. He wrote, “Walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called” hinting that a singing career was in his future. Britton included several other posts of him performing for the congregation over the years.

Britton Moore Was a Stand-Out High School Athlete

Britton was a star pitcher in high school. In addition to baseball, he also played quarterback for his school’s football team, as seen in photos on his Instagram page. “Incredible season. Love these guys,” he captioned a carousel of pictures on December 20, 2020. One showed him about to throw a pass, while another included a group photo with his team.

Britton showed how he had been playing the sport from a young age, including a photo of him running with a football as a young child next to one during his senior year. The future singing competitor also included how he was used to media attention, including a photo getting interviewed by sports outlets after a game.

Britton Moore Almost Tried Out for ‘The Voice’ Prior to 2025

When auditioning on The Voice on February 10, 2025, Britton told the judges that he had signed up to try out for the show several years back when he was a high school senior. However, he had to skip the audition because it coincided with his baseball team making the Texas 6A Championship playoffs, which Britton didn’t want to miss out on.

Britton Moore Impressed All 4 Coaches on ‘The Voice’

When Britton’s sweet falsetto sang the first line of Coldplay’s “Yellow,” coach Adam Levine turned his chair instantly. By the end of his blind audition, John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé all wanted him on their respective teams as well.

Since Britton’s vocal style was the most similar to Adam’s, the Maroon 5 frontman made the pitch, “I just felt like an instant connection with you.”

John praised Britton’s unique talent, telling him, “Singing falsetto is actually really hard in a live setting. I always tell my artists, ‘Your falsetto will betray you when you need it most.’ And yours did not. It would be so fun to coach you.”

Since Kelsea was the youngest coach on the panel, she teased Britton, “I’m on TikTok,” while snarking to other coaches, “Have you guys heard of that?” Michael responded, “Tick-tock is the sound the tap shoes make when they’re dancing to jazz music.”

Ultimately, Britton chose to join Team Adam.

The former high school athlete isn’t the only 4-turn contestant on Adam’s team. The “Moves Like Jagger” singer snagged singer-guitarist Ethan Eckenroad the week prior on the February 3, 2025, season 27 premiere of The Voice during blind auditions, after winning out over his three fellow coaches.
