Danielle, Minji, Hyein, Hanni, and Haerin have announced (in an exclusive to CNN) that they will be not only moving forward under a brand new name (NJZ) but also debuting a brand new song at ComplexCon Hong Kong in March. Other artists scheduled to make an appearance at the three-day music festival (March 21-23, 2025) include Metro Boomin, ZICO, and Quavo.
Haerin described the new music as having a “very unique and different sound,” while Hanni said that the rebrand was the group’s way of “turning this rough period of time into something more exciting,” and that “There’s nothing holding us back anymore.” As such, be on the lookout for looks that are less girl-next-door and instead bolder, sharper, and more androgenous than the group’s previous fare.
Still, the legal drama remains unresolved, with Danielle sharing that NJZ had “completely lost all trust at the moment” in their label, Ador, before adding, “We believe we will win this battle against Hybe and Ador.”
