The 56-year-old skateboarder recently became a grandfather when his son and fellow aports star Riley,32, welcomed Ronin with his wife Frances Bean Cobain – who is the daughter of late Nirvana legend Kurt Cobain – but insisted that he just wants his family to be “happy”.

He told UsWeekly: “Honestly, I’m not that focused on the bloodline. I mean, it’s a very cool thing, but I don’t want Ronin to feel any pressure from that. He is the most fun and he is very alert. He’s very happy and that’s really all we can hope for — and that Frances and Riley are healthy and happy themselves, too, because they’ve both been through a lot. I’m so excited to see Ronin grow up.”

Following on from his split from Riley’s mother Cindy Dunbar, Tony went on to have Spencer, 25, and 23-year-old Keegan with second wife Erin Lee.

He then married Lhotse Merriam and had Kadence, 16, with her in 2008 but they split three years later and he married Cathy Goodman in 2015.

eanwhle, the skateboarding legend doesn’t see retirement for himself any time soon and wants to continue into his career for as long as he is able.

He added: “I feel like if I can stand on my own two feet, I can put wheels underneath it.

“It doesn’t mean I’ll be doing kick flips [at age 85], but yeah, for sure. I don’t know what retirement means. If I had a comment, it’s [to] keep doing what you love and that’s a mark of success.”

Tony insisted that he would “skate for free” if it wasn’t his job and can’t even imagine what a life without it would look like.

He added: “I would [skate] any day for free. It just happens that I do get paid for it. But I am far from retired and I honestly don’t even know what that will look like.”
