Jessica Alba made her first red carpet appearance since announcing her split from estranged husband Cash Warren, and she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.

The Into the Blue star, 43, wore a long black trench coat, wide legged jeans and a black top while attending the Los Angeles’ FireAid Benefit Concert on Thursday, January 30. She accented her look with silver jewelry, but the ring finger on her left hand was noticeably bare.

Jessica and Cash, 46, met in 2004 on the set of the film The Fantastic Four. The Honest Company founder was cast in the role of Sue Storm and Cash was working as a director’s assistant. They dated for four years before they wed in May 2008 and welcomed their first child, daughter Honor, the following month. Three years later, they welcomed their second daughter, Haven, in August 2011, followed by their son, Hayes, in December 2017.

Jessica has been open about the struggles she and Cash faced in their marriage in the past. Jessica appeared as a guest on Katherine Schwarzenegger’s “BDA Baby” podcast in April 2024 and admitted that sometimes Cash felt more like a roommate.

“It’s all rosy for 2 ½ years, but then after that, you become roommates,” Jessica said at the time. “And it’s just, like, you’re roommates. You’re just going through the motions. It’s the responsibility. It’s a lot of, like, checking the boxes.”

The Good Luck Chuck actress continued, “We’re on 17 years. He basically stole my 20s and my 30s. So, we have the friendship and the comfort of, like, ‘You’re not going anywhere,’ and so, sometimes, you don’t treat those people the best. You don’t consider their feelings in the way that you would consider other people’s feelings.”

Rumors began swirling about Jessica and Cash’s marriage when the Sin City star attended a Golden Globes party at the Chateau Marmont Hotel solo, and she was spotted without her wedding ring. Then, Cash was seen without his wedding ring on, fueling the split rumors.

On January 8, TMZ reported that Jessica and Cash had called it quits after almost 17 years of marriage. The outlet stated that the former couple had separated and had plans to file for divorce.

Shortly after TMZ’s report was published, a source exclusively told Life & Style that Cash and Jessica had never put divorce on the table as an option before.

“Jessica and Cash have had their ups and downs over the years, but they always said that divorce was never an option,” the insider revealed. “Well, that’s all changed. After a lot of heartfelt and tearful conversations, and marriage counseling, they’ve decided to split up.”

A little over a week after the news broke, the Honey actress broke her silence on the situation.

“I’ve been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” Jessica shared via Instagram on January 16. “I’m proud of how we’ve grown in our marriage over the last 20 years and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.”

She ended the message by adding, “We are moving forward with love, kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family. Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time.”

Cash has yet to publicly address their separation.
