Christina Haack (formerly Christina Hall) got real about the dark secrets of her marriage with estranged husband Josh Hall’s divorce during the season 1 premiere of The Flip Off. The HGTV star opened up about Josh’s jealous ways, especially toward her bond with her first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa.
“Every time we would barely joke at soccer or if I laughed at you, he would not speak to me for two-three days. I would get silent treatment,” Christina, 41, told Tarek, 43, about Josh, 44, during the Wednesday, January 29, episode. “He calls me cocky, thinks I’m arrogant when we both know I’m not cocky or arrogant. I just do work.”
Tarek reassured Christina that she wasn’t “any of those things” and told his ex-wife that Josh was “projecting.”
“You’re a great mother, a great daughter, you are a great human,” Tarek told Christina, with whom he shares kids Taylor El Moussa and Brayden El Moussa.
Christina and Tarek, who separated in 2016 after seven years of marriage, entered new relationships after going their separate ways. Tarek and Selling Sunset alum Heather Ray El Moussa (née Young) tied the knot in October 2021. Meanwhile, Christina married her second ex-husband, Ant Anstead, in December 2018. They welcomed their son, Hudson Anstead, the following year before separating in 2020.
The Christina In the Country star announced her relationship with Josh in July 2021 and secretly said “I do” that October. Christina and Josh tied the knot in front of their family and friends in September 2022 along the shore in Hawaii.
“Shared vows in front of family and our close friends,” Christina captioned her Instagram post at the time. “Everything in life has led me to where I am right now, which is exactly where I want to be. My dream man on the dreamiest island. Maui holds a special place in my heart. What an amazing night filled with love.”
The pair were married for three years before Josh filed for divorce on July 16, 2024, and Christina submitted her own paperwork later that day. Days later, the Flip or Flop alum broke her silence following her public separation from Josh.
“Over here waiting for the typical hired PR speech of ‘how I was blindsided and how I’m working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch’ … Meanwhile, I’m over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be,” she wrote via Instagram at the time, later adding, “anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve / what they did NOT work for should be ashamed.”
Christina and Josh continue to battle it out in court in hopes of finalizing their divorce. Following their split, the real estate agent put their Tennessee home on the market and was later ordered to pay Josh $150,000 from the proceeds of the sale.
“No later than five days after the close of escrow, Respondent (Christina) is ordered to deposit $150,000 from the sale of the home into Respondent’s counsel–client trust account that is interest-bearing with restricted access,” Life & Style reported via court documents in a story published on January 17.
Although their divorce has yet to be finalized, they have each entered new relationships. Josh hard-launched his girlfriend, Stephanie Gabrys, on January 13 via Instagram. Meanwhile, Christina and boyfriend Christopher Larocca confirmed their romance by stepping out together at LAX the following day.
