The Real Housewives of New York City producers appear to be on the hunt for some new cast members — before the current season even wraps.
On Monday, January 27, eagle-eyed Bravo fans noticed that Shed Casting was searching for new faces to be considered for the reality show.
“It’s that time…,” the account wrote via Instagram on Monday, January 27. “🍎Come and get your apple.”
Shed Media is a media company known for its work with some of Bravo’s biggest shows, including The Real Housewives of New York City and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The company’s additional credits include Vh1’s Basketball Wives and Peacock’s Paris in Love.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Shed Casting also answered some commonly asked questions about the casting process. Currently, producers are looking for residents in Brooklyn and Manhattan who have an “organic connection to someone on the cast.”
Currently, Season 15 includes Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield and Racquel Chevremont. Designer Rebecca Minkoff is also a “friend” of the wives.
In other social media posts, Shed Casting said they are looking for women who “should be living a Bravo lifestyle.” While there is no specific age requirement, producers are looking for ladies who “make sense with the current cast. 30s-50s.”
Us Weekly has reached out to Bravo for any comment on casting.
The post comes just one day before The Real Housewives of New York City will kick off a two-part reunion show for the show’s 15th season.
One topic expected to be discussed at length on the Tuesday, January 28, episode is the shocking cast trip to Puerto Rico that left Brynn, 39, and Ubah’s friendship in ruins.
Brynn was originally upset that Ubah, 41, accused her of sleeping with someone to get hired on the Bravo reality show. The allegation hurt even more after Brynn said she privately revealed to Ubah that she had been sexually assaulted.
Ubah, however, immediately denied knowing about Brynn’s experience, leaving the cast trying to separate both parties on their last night of vacation.
Since the finale, much of the cast — including Erin, Sai and Jessel — have shown signs that they support Ubah and are not as close to Brynn as they once were as a result of her accusation.
The Real Housewives of New York City airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET, with old episodes streaming on Peacock.
If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, contact the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673).
