Grant Ellis got slammed by fans for releasing a song titled “Party Girls” before the premiere of The Bachelor season 29.

It’s unclear when the Bachelorette alum, 31, released the single. However, fans caught wind of it after TikTok user @sammysamslife shared a screenshot of the Spotify single on Monday, January 27.

“So, Bachelor Nation is big on calling out people for being on the show for the wrong reasons, which basically translates to being on the show to become famous. And let’s be honest, a lot of people who go on The Bachelor and Bachelorette are there for the wrong reasons, but usually you can’t prove that,” the TikTokker said in the video. “However, what Grant did pretty much proved it. He released a song, you guys.”

Fans chimed off in the comments section of the post. While some people questioned his authenticity and the timing of his new music, others didn’t find it that big of a deal.

“You could tell on Jenn [Tran’s] season he was trying for the Bachelor edit,” one person wrote.

A second fan commented, “Girl I agree. Gave me the ick haha.”

Meanwhile, others called the accusations against Grant a “reach.”

Grant has yet to address the song.

Fans learned about Grant’s love for music during Jenn’s season 21 of The Bachelorette. In fact, he beatboxed and sang for the Dancing With the Stars alum during his limo entrance.

“Would this work on you? This would work on me,” the official Bachelorette Instagram account captioned a July 2024 post of the moment.

“Oh no, he’s beatboxing! Well as long as he doesn’t start singing …” Bachelor in Paradise bartender Wells Adams wrote in the comments section of the post.

Grant was the fifth man standing before he and Jenn, 27, said their goodbyes.

Now, the Bachelor is ready to begin his own journey to love during the show’s 29th season. There are 25 women that will compete on the show with hopes of earning a weekly rose from Grant and eventually, a Neil Lane diamond ring.

Grant has received support from friends and family after being crowned the Bachelor, including supportive words from Jenn.

“Pick wisely, honey,” she exclusively told Life & Style in September 2024. “[Grant] was so open-hearted and he was so vulnerable and so ready to be in love that I have no doubts he’s going to do the same on his season. So, my advice is to keep going into it with an open heart and I know he’s going to do that and that’s why I’m so excited to see him succeed.”

Grant seemingly took his ex’s advice when he teased how his season played out during a January 27 appearance on Good Morning America.

“I think the thing that really brought us all together was what they were here for, and that was love,” he said of his bonds with the women. “I think that everybody was genuine, everybody was unique and everybody was willing to be open.”
