Kate Middleton ventured out for a brief shopping trip after marking a triumphant moment in her cancer battle with the joyous announcement that she is now in remission.

The Princess of Wales, 43, was spotted in London earlier this week on Tuesday, January 21, Life & Style has learned, picking out a new pair of glasses at Finlay & Co.

Photos obtained by the New York Post showed the mom of three — who shares kids Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, with husband Prince William — surveying the swanky store’s selection.

Kate appeared to be in good spirits while picking out her favorite frames at the upscale Notting Hill neighborhood in a chic and sophisticated ensemble, opting for a navy wool coat that was tied around her waist, gray trousers, black boots and a thick plaid scarf. She accessorized with a nutmeg Smythson bag and sparkling leaf-shaped earrings.

The British royal was chatting with store employees, flashing a smile as she kindly shook one woman’s hand. Kate ended up making a purchase as she was spotted making her exit from the eyewear boutique with a bag in tow.

Reports speculate that she spent the night at the nearby Kensington Palace before returning to Windsor the next day.

Kate has come a long way after announcing in March 2024 that she was undergoing treatment for cancer.

She was flooded with supportive messages in September upon completing chemotherapy, and shared in January that she is officially in remission.

Kate recently visited the staff who treated her and other cancer patients at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

“My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything. We couldn’t have asked for more,” she shared.

In her update, Kate detailed her “relief” and said she remained “focused on recovery” and her family in the coming months.

“As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead,” the princess continued.

Insiders told Life & Style exclusively that Kate now has a new lease on life and wants to put an end to family tensions involving William, 42, and his estranged brother, Prince Harry, and sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, especially after the Los Angeles wildfires.

“Most of Harry’s family checked in. Princess Kate was in touch on behalf of her and William — which is huge,” one source revealed five years after the Duke of Sussex, 40, stepped down from his senior royal role and went on to publish his bombshell memoir, Spare, in January 2023. “It’s no secret Harry has been putting out feelers to end the rift, and Harry and Meghan were incredibly touched by Kate’s gesture.”

“For her, life is too short to keep on carrying grudges,” explained the insider. “The feeling is, the royals may now be willing to put their bitter feud with Harry and Meghan to an end, once and for all.”
